Frank brings extensive experience in several areas, but most recently he has been involved with two major multistory and mixed use office construction projects for Progress Energy. He comes to Clark with nearly 35 years of experience with a strong background in the management of construction teams on varied and complex projects. Mr. Smith attended Marshall University concentrating in Business Management in Huntington, WV. He holds a Project Management Professional license from the Project Management Institute as well as an NC General Contractor and Home Inspectors license.
Frank is originally from Pt. Pleasant, WV and has lived in the Wilmington area for 34 years, spending the last 10 in Hampstead, NC. He is married to his wife of 34 years, Mrs. Vee Ann Smith.

Mr. Smith will replace Thurm Watts who has been with the company since 1979. Thurm was promoted to the Executive Vice President position in 2002 and opened John S. Clark’s Wilmington, NC office at that time. The office currently has 14 employees and had over $31 Million in volume in 2006 with a projected volume of $33.6 Million in 2007.
